I will not recommend the hotel. I am sorry for saying this.

I like the fact that the hotel is fairly close to Megamas area. You would still need a car, or just walk like what I did, to Megamas. It's positioned close to the beach, so there's something to see–although not much. I also like that they have an ample parking space.

I am just speechless by the quality of our room. Despite priced more than one of the chain hotels right across Megamas, Lion Hotel couldn't give us better quality. The window blind was ripped, the TV didn't work, the hot water in the sink didn't work, one of the faucet levers didn't work, the shower head was ugly and dirty, the wifi was very slow. To sum up, I felt that I had been ripped off.

Like staying in a ghost hotel. Uncomfortable and dirty!!!

Just the location that its in the city

The staff doing checkin was not friendly. We checked in at 4pm, one of the room still not clean frm previous guests. All the room have some amenities missing or all are not well cleaned. Bathroom were dirty, one of the room dont have towel at all and had to wait for almost an hour for tower, other room doesn’t have soap ( we need to buy), the bed was made but looks like the sheets not properly clean have a lot of stains and the bed not tucked in. The hotel corridor smell smoke when there’s a sign for non smoking. The kettle inside the room are dirty looks like never been clean. All the rooms are poorly maintained.

There is no way this hotel is a four star hotel, should be 2 stars at the very most

location

WiFi was extremely poor, refrigerator not working, drains in shower not working, all flooded every-time,linen was old. and discoloured, TV no European channels, mostly Chinese and picture very poor quality fussy pictures on all channels. windows outside dirty, 2 person room only one glass and cup . cup had years of coffee strains inside it, no soap on room, shower shampoo very poor quality, fittings inside shower were over 20 years old and looked it, shower needed a good clean titles had ingrown mildew between titles and around fittings. No seats in room only a wooden stool and wooden bench.superior room????? whole hotel is dated and needs a total refurbishment, Felt like living in the 1960s Out side room, wallpaper peeling of walls, ceiling water damaged and places removed and not replaced. In addition I booked room specific for breakfast to be included, hotel never provided breakfast and stated that Bookings.com had advised them No Breakfast was booked. I totally disagreed.No feedback from either hotel or Bookings.com

awesome if you dont look too close

Its above an abandoned mall! the mall is awesome to explore if you have a torch and you arent afraid to step on a rusty nail. I would recommend going at night because there are less people. There is a pool and an abandoned food court which is also cool to check out. Some of the rooms are empty without furniture or doors and offer a unique look behind the scenes of what seems to be like a hotel close to demolition. theres lots of chinese partying at night. but be warned, if you party they will complain! when you turn on the tv you are greeted with relaxing kolintang music and offers like drunken beef and lecci fritzz. if you come to manado and the hotel is open I can definately recommend it! ps: bring a flashlight for the mall!

the chinese complained and the minibar couldnt fit enough beer for one night. bathroom doors didnt close

certainly not 4 star hotel but you can enjoy swimming pool at the seashore

several good restaurants very close to the hotel very nice swimming pool(s) with both fresh and sea water

swimming pool is located at the street (not within hotel) rooms need refurbishment no fridge in the room

It was alright

Some stuff are friendly and quiet close to the shopping centres. Walking distance 10-15min

Stuff at reception not so friendly. Outside my room can smell real bad sewage water.

TV did not work despite replace 3 times! , also FRig not working, hot pot replaced, towels old and not clean BUY NEW TOWELS. Room service the guy take the order did not tell the cook ..after 1 hour we called and the cook said no order.... Glass window leaking during rain... 4 stars? no. 1 star....

Breakfast was Ok and the bayview terrace is worth visiting to view the sunset.

The building was designed for a shopping mall and not for a hotel. So there's quite a distance from the rooms to the elevator. If the shopping mall beneath the hotel opens, it's still under construction, this could probably become a very good hotel. Wifi was free but was really hard to get connected in the room, signal was bad. Ended up sitting by the door to get wifi signal. All features and amenities are 3-star hotel quality, nothing exceptional.

The breakfast is delicious.

The breakfast is delicious. Chef is very friendly. And the place is in the downtown. Access to Bunaken harbour is less than 30 minutes by car.

First time I came here, I couldnt find my towel. And unfortunatelly hotel doesnt have swimming pool
